Prayer is essential to spiritual growth just as breath is to physical growth. Prayer is like breathing: as we exhale, we talk to God, and as we inhale, we listen to God. (Life Helps, NIV Disciple’s Study Bible)

 

During our time of prayer and intercession at the United Church we bring the needs of the church and the world to God in faith, and trust God for changed lives, changed churches and a changed world.

We thank God for hearing our intercession and we also praise Him because his character and nature lead Him to meet our human needs. (1Timothy 2:1-4)

 

• Every Wednesday morning a group meet to intercede from 07h00 – 08h00 at the church building for Early Morning prayer, followed by a lovely cup of coffee.

 

It will be an honour to meet you, and you are most welcome to join us in prayer, should you wish to do so. We are grateful for all pray-ers / intercessors who faithfully call on the powerful Name of the Lord for their concerns for others, whether they pray at home, in home groups, the intercession group or during church services. James 5:16b says “The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.” May the Lord pour out his blessings on you in abundance.

 

May we all grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen. (2 Peter 3:18)
